fabric rag wreath::meadowsweet

This handmade wreath was created by me using a double rail wreath form and Michael Miller designer fabrics. BE sure to check out photograph 5 in the pictures to see what the fabric looked like before I cut it down. It is a blend of reds, greens and a beautiful flower print on brown fabric.

size:: 14 inch round wreath
colors:: brown, reds and greens
hanging:: This wreath hangs from the back.

Each of the wreaths are carefully constructed. They take from start to finish anywhere from about 2 hours to create. I tend to be a perfectionist and have a critical eye for knowing when it is "just right".

My Meadowsweet fabric rag wreath is also featured in a lovely gallery on flickr thanks to The Happy Turtle!

treasury feature::hope valley

I was lucky enough to be included recently in this lovely etsy treasury featuring Hope Valley Fabrics...
I have a few sewing button sets in the fabrics in my etsy button shop!

Have you seen hope valley?
It is absolutely gorgeous fabric by Denyse Schmidt...
a little about hope valley from Denyse's own website::
Inspired by the can-do community attitude and creative, homey economics of the depression era, Hope Valley is a quilting weight fabric collection by Denyse Schmidt. The warm and cozy hues take their cue from a vintage-tinged country landscape. Eight beautiful new prints in three warm and inviting color families evoke a feeling of possibility and down-home hospitality. View the collection here!

You can view the lovely treasury on etsy.
A big shout out to BlueElephantStitch.etsy.com for including my sewing buttons in the treasury!
